Synopsis

This uplifting and often bittersweet romantic comedy is about a slightly retarded young woman, Carla, who, after years of special education at a private boarding school, manages to find love and independance by moving into an apartment of her own , despite her overprotectrive mother's misguided plans to keep her sheltered and close to home. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery, Carla and her classmate/boyfriend Danny set ouit together to find answers to some of life's toughest chaallenges, and to prove that sometimes, an ordinary life can be an extraordinary achievement.
